We Specialize In:

Couples Therapy/Family Therapy

MFTs (Marriage and Family Therapists) are the only behavioral health professionals required to get specialized training and education in working with couples and families.  MFTs receive specialty training in couples and family therapy interventions to explore how our clients get stuck. We use these systems approaches with individuals, couples and families. We look at how each member’s wants, needs, hurts and reactions impact other members of the couple or family. We remain neutral and view all perspectives and goals of each member as valid and worthy.

Our therapists work from a couples counseling approach, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, which helps couples to be more connected, secure, and happy in their relationship.  The primary goals of this therapy are to increase secure attachments between partners to allow for deep conversations and healing.

Our therapists offer prepare and enrich assessments in order for couples and families have a better understanding of their connection, needs, and ongoing strategies.

Dedicted Therapy for Teens & Tweens

The transition from childhood to adolescence is a whirlwind of biological shifts, social pressures, and academic stress. During adolescence, teens are working on creating their identity and feeling comfortable in their world while also trying to understand themselves. They are growing and developing while also experiencing new freedoms. Teens are often working on becoming confident with themselves while fitting in. If you think that your teen is struggling with low self-esteem, we have therapists that can meet with you and your teen to help them.

Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, depression, social media overwhelm, family conflict, peer struggles, or academic burnout, our clinical team provides a safe, non-judgmental space tailored specifically to their unique development needs. We believe in incorporating parents, caregivers, and families when working with teens and tweens because we believe in working with the whole system, allowing for whole family healing.

Advanced Trauma Therapy: EMDR/Brainspotting

For those seeking to move beyond traditional talk therapy to heal deep-seated trauma, we provide both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting Therapy (BSP).

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, is a highly researched modality that helps the brain reprocess disturbing memories so they no longer trigger emotional distress. EMDR is a powerful therapy intervention which has been very successful in helping people who suffer from trauma, anxiety, panic, disturbing memories, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and many other emotional problems. EMDR can bring quick and lasting relief for most types of emotional distress.

Brainspotting Therapy (BSP) is a brain-body based tool that uses eye positions to locate and release trauma stored in the subcortical brain. The treatment modality compliments the mind and body’s natural healing ability to address emotional and somatic distress caused by underlying trauma and core beliefs that subconsciously (or consciously) effect daily functioning. BSP can be applied to most distressing clinical issues including mood disorders, anxiety, stress, post-traumatic stress and disorders, performance issues, and many other issues.
